My name is Melissa, I live in Camden borough and am an Ofsted registered childminder.

Mother of 3 children aged between 6 and 23 years old, my friends quality me as warm, sociable, patient and reliable. 

My setting provides a safe, fun, loving, home from home learning environment for all children with flexible hours for parents. There is also a dedicated playroom area with various materials and resources for children. Each day is truly an enriching experience and I am always delighted to see those little bright faces having fun, running and growing in confidence. 

Here at 'Elyon house, we believe that every child is unique and deserves the best possible start in life.We do everything to provide a secure and fun environment, positive relationships, an appropriate respond to individual needs.

I was trained as a childminder and gained all the relevant qualifications to provide an high quality care. 

 

 

 

Working with children and help them reach their full potential is really a great reward.

I have experience as a nanny, play worker (Cultural movement leisure centre) in France and worked as a teaching assistant (Haverstock school) then Sunday school teacher in London.  

I have a book references that show what other parents say about me.

Qualifications

 - A-Level ( French A*, History A*, Geography A*, English and Art )with honours
 - 2004 : Certificate in playwork /playgroup practice - BAFA (Les Francas –France)

 - 2005 : Diploma of Airport Officer ( Air class- Toulouse / France)
 - 2007:  Certificate for supporting teaching & learning (International Teachers College – UEL)

 - 2015 : Childminding /home childcarer Certificate (Luton - Uk)

 - 2016 : Currently completing Early years Degree
 

I have a clean DBS checked and hold an up to date certificate for:

- Safeguarding & Child Protection course

- Paediatric first aid qualification course

- Early Years Foundations Stage course

- Having fun with science in Early years course

- SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) course

 

I attend training and professional Development courses outside my working hours in order to ensure and provide a professional service.

I am member of Camden childminder network (Camden Early Years Childminding Partnership) and also PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years). I also hold a public liability insurance and a full driving license.
